Referral can be made by phone, letter or in person, however it is advised that individuals make contact with a drugs and alcohol worker or social worker to encourage a speedier referral process.

 

Referral details are logged and a questionnaire is sent to the client’s nominated referral service. (within 24 hours).

 

Referral Form is completed and returned as soon as possible.

 

Referral Form is received and file is opened.

 

All relevant information is collated using the consent form on the questionnaire, i.e. probation officer, social worker, drug worker, (all information will be completed or in hand within 7 working days as process of gathering information can sometime be lengthy).

 

Once the file is complete, the applicant will either be offered a provisional place pending an interview, or refused a place or referred to another agency.

 

Interview to be arranged. If this meeting is concluded satisfactorily then a formal offer will be made.

 

An admission date is arranged

WILS may refuse to accommodate:

 

· Individuals with an offence history that includes violence, on going mental health, sex offending or acts of arson, self harm, suicide & still using substances/alcohol.

 

· All above history will be judged on there merits, just because someone has a history of the above will not mean they will be instantly excluded.
